A Tech fest by Chemical Engineering department of HBTI Kanpur. Few lines about it below from the website www.interfacehbti.com
Engineering is not merely knowing & being knowledgeable, it is about practicing the art of the organized forcing of technological changeā. Engineers operate at the INTERFACE between science & society. To bring above into effect, the Department of Chemical Engineering ,HBTI Kanpur is organizing its tech fest INTERFACE 2008 on 12-13th April for active participation of engineering & technology students from all across the country. Besides providing a platform for the students to show their technical & intellectual skills, the budding engineers from all across the country get a chance to come together & know their counterparts . The participants could reflect their ideas through PAPER , POSTER & MODEL presentation or show their awareness & reasoning ability through CHEMICAL & BUSINESS QUIZ.
You can register online for participation. Get more details about events and schedule from the website i.e. www.interfacehbti.com .
I received some feedbacks from people who found problem in registering with www.myhbtidays.com. I guess registration is not that difficult but the activation of account is the part which is missed by almost 2 out of 10 people. Some times, in confusion people re-generate their passwords but it doesn’t work because account is not activated.
We have changed some of our pages to make the activation part more obvious.
I am listing here the whole registration process, so that any body in trouble can refer this or a new person can get some guidance.
1. Click on the ‘Register’ link , in ‘Member Login’ box, in the left side of the Main page.
2. You will be presented with a form for filling in your Accout information:(all the fields marked with * are mandatory) (more…)
First of all, Wish you all very Happy Holi.I still remember the style of holi celebration in HBTI. In our times(1997-2001),first and second year was not that fun because every body was in mood to go home just after mid semester exams. But third year and final year holi was real fun, rather i should say a madness :-).
I had written a post(HOLI at 3rd Year Hostel (WCH-3, 2001 Batch)) about my third year holi at WCH-3 few months back. I hope it will remind you colorful madness of your times.
Student’s Registration is on now at website and existing HBTI students can also register here and interact on disucussion forum, share their pictures etc.
There are some fields in registration form which do not fit completely for students, so do the following while registration, Fill your year of passing in future as your batch and fill N/A in company name field. You can update those fields in future accordingly.
We want every student to be part of this community and tell us about the latest events and news of HBTI. They can also interact with us on any topic or for any help.
A video shoot by students i guess, 2 weeks back, during INCORD 2008. They are walking around the main building and main gate(newly built) and also showing CSA (Paththar College). The conversation is quite interesting
TechEra 2008 happened on 1st and 2nd march,2008.There is a website on this event www.techera2k8.com. Even if event is over, you can get some event details from the website, and remember your days :-). I checked the history page and checked that this technical festival started when i was in college. As some of our close friends were studying under Electronics Engineering at that time and were quite active in organizing this event, we used to feel the heat of event in college and hostel.
More events to come this year, I checked the main website and ODYSSEY-08 is next.
I guess most of the internet aware Harcourtians have seen this already, but I couldn’t stop my self to post this here so that more people can see the nice work done by Harcourtians.
Casting: This is very small video which doesn’t show the cast actually but some titles like “DK Entertainment” :-). Do see this before next.
Nitin Srivastava (CSE 2004, got selected in CSC india from campus) started sending his cartoons on HBTI alumni group in April 2007 (or probably i started noticing only after that). I think it was a very distinct & creative idea to share views and the most important part was involving day-to-day things .
He started a website www.dilsecartoons.com in September 2007. I got news about his popularity when some non-harcourtian friend forwarded me his cartoon :-). Now he has more than 50 cartoons on his website with facility to comment and suggest new ideas. Kudos to Nitin for his creative work!
You can visit his website for the complete collection. My Favorite:
Other than Vishnu’s video, One more is there. This one is made using very nice song ‘Yaaron’ by KK and number of b/w pictures of group of girls. I am not able to get the identity of creator of video but this is 2006 final year video. Nice Job!!
